Infrared (IR) lamps are available in a number of wavelength and output
emission ranges. See the chart below for a summary of features.

Description
2 - 3 microns
100 watts/in
The Rapido IR lamp is a
high density (100 watts/inch), medium wave infrared lamp that emits at the
ideal wavelength for drying water and heating plastics. The Rapido
combines the heating capability of short wave T3 lamps with the absorption
capabilities of medium wave emitters.
3 - 4 microns
50 watts/in
The
IQH medium wave quartz tube has 50 watt/inch capability, with a medium to
long wavelength IR emission. The patented filament has a heat-up
time of 6 seconds as compared with 30 seconds for conventional medium wave
quartz tubes.
1 - 2 microns
Up to 200 watts/in
Short
wavelength quartz halogen lamps are available in custom lengths in
wattages up to 200 watts/inch. Lamp lengths up to 50 inches lighted
length are available. Ceramic reflector coatings are available for
lamps that go into PET process machinery.
1 - 2 microns
Up to 100 watts/in
The Ruby
Red Quartz Halogen Lamp is a short wave, type T3 infrared lamp with a
ruby quartz envelope. The ruby quartz filters out the unwanted
glare, while allowing the infrared heat to pass through, which is intended
for applications where operators are present in the area.
1 - 2 microns
(Short wave)
Up to 200 watts/in
Twin
Tube emitters are available with either a medium wave (IQH) or a short
wavelength tungsten filament. The gold-backed lamps are customizable
for wattage and heated length.
